Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken All Jazzed Up

Hello Lovely Readers today’s post is all about a semi-homemade dish.  I love Trader Joes’s Mandarin Orange Chicken. It just needs a little jazzing up to make it taste “GREAT”.

So let’s get started

You will need 2 packages of the Mandarin Orange Chicken. Each package comes with 2 packets of the sauce.

You will cook the chicken in the oven according to the directions.

Next open up the 4 packets of sauce ( 2 from each package)

Pour the sauce in a large bowl an add the following:

1/2 tsp black pepper, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder (feel free to add less or omit anything you don’t want…..we like the heat).

1/4 cup of  agave nectar

1/4 cup of yellow, red and green peppers

Mix every thing together until well incorporated.  Once the chicken is done and cooled break the larger piece into smaller ones.

Add the chicken to the bowl and coat the chicken with the sauce.

Serve with brown rice and stir-fry veggies and enjoy.

Another thing you can do with this dish is leave out the sauce and serve as nuggets….I do this for my kid’s and they love it. Don’t throw the sauce away keep it in the freezer and use it on chicken wings. Season the wings and marinate in the sauce overnight and bake on 475 for 45 minutes to an hour.

I hope you enjoy.

Until Next Time,

Pumpkin Waffles

Yesterday was grocery shopping day.  The stores that I love are Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and Wegmans.  So at TJ’s I came across a new item. Which the store clerk said, just came in the night before. So I dropped 2 of them into the shopping cart. Hoping they will taste delishhhh.

I tried them this morning and I’m in “LOVE” They have the perfect amount of pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon flavor without being over powering…..so glad that I gave them a try and that they taste terrific.  TJ’s always has something new and delicious to try. It’s the one store where the list just goes out the window….lol.

Enjoy & Until Next Time,
