Ground Turkey Sloppy Joe’s

Hello all,
Recently, I discovered that my kid’s have never had a Sloppy Joe. I couldn’t believe that I had never made this simple dish for them. When I was a kid my brother and I always look forward to Sloppy Joe’s.
When my mom sat that Manwich can on the counter, we knew dinner was going to be delicious. Well Sloppy Joe’s were on the menu last night but No Manwich needed. My kid’s absolutely loved it. Now let’s jump right into this very easy and delicious recipe.

Ingredients:

2 lbs of Ground Turkey (or Chicken or Beef)
1/2 Cup of diced onion
1/2 Cup of diced red, yellow and green peppers
2 cloves of garlic crushed
1 Cup of strained tomatoes
3/4 Cup of Ketchup
2 Tbs of Braggs Amino Acid or Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp of  smoked paprika,garlic powder, onion, powder, garlic, cumin, basil and black pepper
2 Tbs of Grapeseed Oil or oil of choice

Directions:

In a small bowl mix together all your dry herbs and spices

In a pan on medium-high heat  add your oil and brown your ground turkey.

Once completely browned reduce the heat to low an add your herbs and spices, amino acid, green pepper onion, garlic. Mix to incorporate everything together.

Now add your strained tomatoes and ketchup. Stir to evenly incorporate ingredients. 

Let everything cook on low for about 5 minutes and your done.

I served this with oven fried herb potato wedges and salad. Super easy meal and no can sauce necessary.
