New Breakfast Food Find Review

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Tasty Tuesday!!!!

Usually, I like to make everything from scratch.  But there are times when I just want and need it to come already prepared.

With my family coming into town, this was one of those times.  Now the challenge is whether or not I can find one with minimal to no chemicals. My family eats a predominantly organic diet but my visiting family does not.  So I had to find something that meets the needs of everyone in one box.

I decided to check Target and see if they had a great quality pancake mix.  It just so happened that they had a new product on the shelves. Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk & Honey Pancake/Waffle Mix.  I check out the ingredients and into the cart it went. (This post is not sponsored just a new find.) For more information on this company click here.

Saturday morning rolls around and it was time to test out the new mix.  It was a hit.  It taste, perfect using it as the box instructs.  On Sunday, I decided to jazz it up a bit with some Organic Vanilla Extract and milk which made it even better.  My family absolutely love the mix, so I had to share my new find with all of you.

Have any of you ever tried this brand or do you have any recommendations of any other brands?????

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by, I greatly appreciate it.

Until Next Time,

Quick & Easy Homemade Pancake Mix

Hello everyone,

Who needs store bought, when you can do it better in the same amount of time?   Here’s a quick and easy pancake recipe.  Let’s get started……..

Dry mix:
Mix all ingredients to evenly incorporate. Store in an air tight container and use when ready to make pancakes.

4 Cup flour
2 TBS baking powder
3 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Making pancakes:

1 Cup pancake mix
1 TBS vinegar
1 cup almond milk ( or milk of choice)
1 egg
1 TBS butter, melted or oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1-2 tsp cinnamon

1. Combine milk with vinegar in a measuring cup. Set aside for about 5 minutes.

2. Add 1 Cup of your pancake mix,
butter, egg, milk mixture, cinnamon, vanilla into the bowl. Mix until nice and smooth.

3.Spray skillet with non stick cooking spray or use oil or butter. Heat skillet on med-high heat. Pour pancake batter into skillet in 1/4 cup increments or use a ice cream scoop.

4. Cook pancakes until bubbles begin to appear on the surface. Flip with a spatula and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden on the bottom.

This mix is very versatile. You can add fruit, chocolate chips or whatever you desire as you drop the 1/4 cupfuls into the skillet. Get as creative as you would like. Enjoy!
