On a recent trip to Costco, I spotted a new item  “Aussie Bites.”

The first thing that caught my eye they are Organic. Then I had to check out the list of ingredients.

Which I will say could be alluring or not so alluring to some…..lol.

 

Organic Rolled Oats

Organic Oat Flour

Organic Unsalted Butter

Organic Canola Oil

Organic Dried Apricots

Organic Sugar

Organic Cane & Inverted Sugar

Organic Raisins

Organic Flax Seeds

Organic Sunflower Seeds

Organic Honey

Organic Shredded Coconut

Organic Quinoa

Organic Chia Seed

Sea Salt

Baking Soda

Organic Vanilla

Let’s talk about taste…….These taste “Amazing”.  It tastes like a soft oatmeal raisin cookie.  You would never know these delicious little bites have such great and healthy ingredients.  They are great to take on the go.  My children “LOVE” these. I purchase these weekly because they just love them so! Since these were such a delicious hit I had to share it with you. (This is not a sponsored post.)

911 Spicy Crispy Chickpea Snack

It’s official…..I love this snack. I think you will too.

It’s easy to make, taste great, offers health benefits to the body in comparison to most snacks. Best of all you can cater it to your specific needs.

This one is about the love of spiciness.

Let’s get started…….

1 carton or can of chickpeas, rinsed, drained, and patted dry
1 tablespoons grape seed oil (or oil of choice)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 teaspoon ghost peppers
1/4 teaspoon chipotle pepper flakes
1 teaspoon cane sugar (or sugar of choice)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425°.

Line a baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, mix seasonings, vinegar and oil.

In a medium bowl add the dry chickpeas and then your seasoning mixture. Mix it around gently so the pea’s keep their shape. But make sure to evenly cover and coat the chick peas with the seasoning mixture.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crunchy.

Let cool and enjoy!

EASY Crispy BBQ Oven Baked Chickpeas

I’m a foodie…….I must admit. So I decided to give something new a try. Ahhhhhhh this recipe is what I call a win/win. You get the great benefit of the fiber from the chickpeas and the flavor of a chip. Pure delicious excitement!!!!

Let’s dive right on in to this recipe.

Ingredients:

1 carton or can of chickpeas, rinsed, drained, and dried

* You will probably want to double or triple the recipe. I made a small batch…….because I wasn’t sure if my picky children would like them. They LOVED them and finished the bowl in less than 30 minutes…lol.
