Today, I want to share a really easy DIY Home Decor Project.
Masking Tape (optional)
Cover the area you would like glittered with Mod Podge using your sponge brush.
Shake on the glitter to the area with the Mod Podge. Let it set for a minute. Shake of excess glitter.
Seal the glitter in with more Mod Podge on top of the glitter. Allow the frame to dry for about 30 minutes give or take.
Ta da……..you’re all done. Your frame just went from boring to glam in no time at all.
Happy Crafting & Until Next Time,
I am glittering again…lol. I love, love a DIY where I can use glitter. So why not glam up my cell phone case.
This project only requires
◆ Cell Phone Case
◆ Glitter of choice
◆ Decoupage Glue (Like Mod Podge or my latest discovery. ..Aleene’s& Tracy Bautista Collage Pauge)
◆ Masking tape to create a design.
■ Clean your case and make sure it’s completely dry.
■ Tape off any area if adding a design.
■ Add your decoupage glue
■ Shake on the glitter to cover the desired area. Shake off.
■ Let it dry for 20 mins and then, coat again with your decoupage glue to seal in glitter. Let this dry for 20 mins. Now your case is ready to use.
Enjoy & Happy Glamming,
My daughter’s were checking out the sales ad’s in the paper. They saw the cutest tablet cover’s at a store called 5 Below. So we had to go out and buy them.
Inside the tablet cover’s were these inserts.
When I saw the inserts….it made me think of a DIY I recently saw on youtube by Anneorshine.
So let’s dive in……
(*This post contains affiliate links, which means I may receive compensation if you make a purchase using the links.)
Insert from a 5 Below Tablet or cut one out of cardboard
Gold and Silver Glitter
Chanel No. 5 Perfume/Parfum Logo (google has many images)
Hot Glue Gun and Sticks
Mod Podge Gloss Clear Acrylic Spray
Take the insert and tape off the neck of the bottle. Add Mod Podge and shake on the silver glitter. Let it sit for a minute and then shake off excess glitter
Remove the tape an add Mod Podge to the rest of the insert and shake on the gold glitter. Shake off the excess glitter.
Spray the entire project with the Mod Podge Gloss Acrylic. To seal in the glitter. Let this dry for about 20 mins.
Next hot glue on your Chanel Logo of choice and your ribbon onto your perfume bottle.
Or put your own spin on it.
This was a great project. It had everything we love in a DIY project…….Quick, Easy & Lot’s of Glitter.
Enjoy & Until Next Time,
Ok so back in the fall of 2012. I was in TJMaxx, looking for some cute tops for my daughter’s. Which was a bold move on my part because I was shopping without them being present. Which majority of the time this is a no no. All mom’s of tweens and teen know EXCATLY what I mean…lol.
Well I saw this one top in particular that looked like something my youngest would really like. Turns out she LOVED this knit striped top with a heart and love written on it. For $19.99
So of course I felt like such a proud mother for two reason…….she liked it, she really liked it AND…..I did not have to make a trip to return anything.
She loves the top so much that she wears it every chance she gets Then it dawned on me to copy the pattern and make her a short sleeve version.
So I headed to Hancock Fabric’s because they were having a great sale.
So there on the clearance table I find a great Jersey Knit with chocolate brown and cream stripes and “GLITTER”.
I only needed 1 yard of fabric…..Total cost $5.25…….and it only took about 40 minutes from cut to finish and that includes interruptions….lol.
