The World’s Best Vegan Eggs (Review)

For the past few months, I/we have been transitioning to a plant-based diet. It’s something I’ve been considering and talking about for quite some time. Now I’m taking the steps and making it happen. I must admit with a bit of creativity in my cooking this has been easier than I thought it would be and quite delicious. I can honestly say that we all don’t feel like we are missing out on the things we used to eat. They key is creatively finding way’s to make and substitute all the thing’s we use to love.

When it came to eggs initially it was a bit challenging. My youngest loves scrambled eggs. So I set out on a mission to try and recreate a vegan version. I first tried it with scrambling chickpeas which taste good but it did have the egg consistency. Then just when I was going to give up on a great tasting vegan egg option…….I discover Follow Your Hearts Vegan Eggs. I picked them up at my local organic market and came home and made them right away.

My youngest daughter and I were so impressed. The surprise of it all was that my oldest daughter who “hates eggs” loves these vegan eggs. Like this kid hates scrambled eggs, omelets, boiled eggs……she only likes eggs if they are used in baking. But she loves these eggs!!!

So if you’re considering a more plant-based lifestyle or are already following a more plant-based diet I highly recommend you giving these a try. They taste a lot like traditional eggs and the consistency is very reminiscent as well. My one recommendation is that you cook the eggs a bit longer than the package instructions depending on how you like your eggs. I cook my vegan scrambled eggs for about 10- 12 minutes. A carton makes about a dozen eggs and you can use them for baking, scrambling, and omelets.

Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy Ice Cream Review

Hello everyone,

Welcome to…….

When I heard that Ben & Jerry’s was coming out with a line of Non-Dairy Ice Creams I was eager to give them a try. I had to go to a couple of store’s to get all the flavors. I made it into a taste testing event for the family. So today I want to share our thoughts on this sweet treat.

The ice creams are available in 4 flavors and are made with Almond Milk.

Chocolate Fudge Brownie
Chunky Monkey
Coffee Caramel Fudge
P.B. & Cookies

Now it’s time to get into the important stuff…….taste. I’m going to talk about them in order from favorite to least favorite.

P.B. & Cookies – was our top favorite if you like cookies, and peanut butter in your ice cream then you are going to absolutely love it.

Coffee Caramel Fudge – this was the next favorite……it’s coffee flavor with caramel and fudge. It’s a Starbuck’s latte in ice cream form so what’s not to love.

Chocolate Brownie Fudge – decadent deliciousness would be the best way to describe this one.

Chunky Monkey – this one was my least favorite lacking the banana flavor of the traditional Chunky Monkey but otherwise pretty good.

All in all these Non- Dairy treats are great. They really taste a lot like traditional ice cream. Ben & Jerry’s did not disappoint in making sure that you get a nice bite of all the magnificent ingredients in each spoon full.

It Feels So Good To Finally Get Relief (Navage Review)

When something great comes into your life….you want to shout it from the roof- tops and tell everyone.

Since I was a teenager I’ve been dealing with sinus issue’s. I was put on all sorts of medications only for them to cause other issues. So I quickly left behind the prescriptions.

My mom suggested the Neti pot….which by her demonstration looked scary and uncomfortable. But what was I to do….keep suffering or give this thing a try. So I gave it a try….it burned like crazy….it was messy…I wondered was she secretly punishing me or something…lol.

Organic Vegetarian Pot Stickers

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Tasty Tuesday!!

Usually, I share a recipe but today I wanted to share a new find. A few weeks ago the kids and I were in Costco and we found a new item. Frozen Organic Pot Stickers.

When it comes to pre-packaged meals…….. it’s not something I really buy. Usually because of the ingredients and if it has good quality ingredients the sodium is usually really high. So for me, these types of meals get left in the store.

Then I’ll make a promise to the kids to try and re-create it at home with healthier ingredients. Which doesn’t always happen right away.

Thankfully……I found something that I could actually put in the cart, take home and have prepared in minutes.

Now all I can do is hope…….that it taste good and that we all like. Is that asking for too much?

Well, I am here to tell you…..that I now believe in miracles…lol….because we all loved them.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Colour Fusion Lip Glaze

When it comes to makeup I love it. Over the past few years, I have not worn it like I use to. Once I started focusing on putting natural and healthy things in and on my body. I stopped wearing makeup like I used to. I started trying out makeup at Whole Food’s or if you live in Washington D.C./ Maryland/ Northern Virginia aka DMV like I do a store called MOM’s (My Organic Market). I would try out various things but ultimately be unsatisfied. Even though I want healthy ingredients in my makeup I also want it to look good as well. That is one benefit to some of my old favorites. Great long lasting color/pigments and wearability.

Recently, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques. When I saw the list of ingredients in her makeup…..I had to try it out. I tried out the Dragon Fruit Colour Fusion Lip Glaze.

Now I will admit I was a bit skeptical based off of past experiences with other products. But let me tell you……I was so impressed.

This gloss has great pigmentation and great wearability. I was in total shock. It goes on smooth, it’s not sticky, it doesn’t have any type of weird scent. I ate and still had color left. Before we get into how it feels and works…….let’s talks about the ingredients.

Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract aka Bamboo Stem Powder – Derived from the stems of Bamboo, this purifying powder helps sweep away dead skin cells and clarify pores for a brighter and clearer complexion.
Sucrose – Which comes from the crystallization of sugar cane or beet juice. This ingredient is used as a humectant which helps the skin to retain moisture.

Lactic Acid – Is derived from milk, fruit, vegetables, and plants. It is known to plump and tighten skin, reduce acne, wrinkles, and aging spots.
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract aka Green Tea – Which is a great anti-inflammatory and high in anti-oxidants.
Panthenol – Is derived from Vitamin B5. This is known to make the skin soft and smooth.

Thioctic Acid – Is derived naturally from milk. Used for anti-aging.

The product is 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free!!!

90% Organic / 100% Natural

It has a sand-like consistency. You apply a nickel size amount in the palm of your hand, adding a little water to make a paste. Next apply it to your face rubbing in a circular motion. Let it stay on for 5 minutes.

What you will notice is that it starts to tighten a bit. Once the five minutes has passed rinse your skin thoroughly and pat dry.

I used this product on myself and well as my daughter who has acne. We both fell in love with it. It was easy to apply and rinses off just as easily. Our skin……..felt absolutely amazing, so soft and smooth. We both have oily/ sensitive skin….so I was looking to see if this exfoliant would be too harsh on our sensitive skin. This worked great on our sensitive skin. Not harsh at all. I am happy to have the opportunity to try this product for free in exchange for this honest review.
