DIY Midi Length Tulle Skirt

Hello everyone,

Welcome  to Thread It Thursday!!!!!

I am excited about this Sewing DIY.  I’ve been talking to my daughter’s for months about making these skirts.  So a couple of weeks back we headed to a specialty fabric store in our area, to get what we needed. We arrive and head to the section of tulle and organza to see what we could find.
One picked a vibrant purple organza and the other picked a fuchsia organza. Now we needed a lining fabric.  Which didn’t take long…..they ended up picking a fuchsia polyester lining and purple silk charmeuse.  Both choices will look great underneath their organza selections.

They both requested elastic waist skirts.  I knew that I wanted to surprise them with something a little more elegant than traditional elastic.  So a few day’s later I decided to check my local Joann’s and see if they had what I had in minds.  They just happened to have this great “Gold Sparkling” elastic. Now that I had everything I needed, it was time to start sewing.

To make this Tulle Skirt…….I followed one of my previous tutorials here. This tutorial will tell you all you need to know to make the skirt.

We had fun snapping a few quick shot’s of my girl’s running around in the snow. A big thanks to them for agreeing to do this!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I truly appreciate it.

Happy Sewing & Until Next Time,

Sewloveable 🙂
