Homemade Graham Crackers

Hello everyone,

I was in the mood to try something I had never done before.  Make my very own Graham Crackers. Which happen to be a favorite in my household.  It’s a very easy recipe, great to do with kid’s. So let’s jump right in and start baking together.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. wheat flour
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon (or less)
1/2 C. butter, chilled and cut into cubes
2 t. of vanilla extract
1/2 C. brown sugar
1/4 C. honey
1/4 C. Water

INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-heat oven to 350°

In a food processor add flours, sugar, salt, cinnamon and baking soda. Mix to combine.

Add butter and mix until the mixture has turned into coarse crumbs.

Add honey and water. Mix until incorporated and the dough is easily gathered into a ball.

Shape dough into a flat disk. Roll between two large pieces of parchment until ¼ inch thick.

Cut into desired shapes and sizes. Place crackers on a parchment lined baking sheet and poke with a fork.

Roll the remaining dough until all of the dough is used up.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, until slightly darkened around edges, they will be set but still slightly soft (they will harden as they cool). Place crackers on a wire wrack to cool. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer storage.

There’s nothing like homemade and knowing what ingredients are in your baked goods.

Enjoy & Until Next Time,
